William Lemos

President

photoWilliam Lemos is President of MEC Electrical Contracting and MEC Technologies. Bill oversees all operations and is immersed in high-level business development initiatives for the company, as well as proactively creating the vision for both companies near, and long term sustainable growth.

Bill founded the company in 2000 following a 15-year stint as partner in an electrical contracting company, where he was also general manager. Bill's entrepreneurial vision in starting MEC was to substantially grow and expand into new areas such as servicing health care facilities, and working on newly constructed office buildings and large commercial projects.

Starting MEC Electrical Contracting out of his home, Bill pretty much worked in every capacity, including head estimator, lead project manager, and electrician in the field. Over time, he and his wife, Debbie, slowly but surely built MEC into what it is today - including adding MEC Technologies to the business in 2008.

Earlier in his career, Bill was a project foreman for an electrical contractor and a field electrician. He holds a master electrician license and journeyman's electrician license in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Bill is certified by the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE), and he also holds a certificate in health care construction. He is a member of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), where he serves on the Political Action Committee, and he is also a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

In his off time Bill enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, golfing, fishing, and all sports in general.

MEC has proven time and again why we choose to use their services at Winchester hospital. Their expertise relative to working in a hospital environment is critical in our decision process. I highly recommend their services. Robby RobertsonDirector of Engineering
